Peripatetic Music Lessons
Following changes to some restrictions we are excited to be planning for what will be a period of new beginnings and challenges across the school campus!
As we move into the final stages of planning within the Music Department at The Castle Rock School we would like to ask for your assistance in providing some information.
If your child is interested in beginning to learn to play an instrument, please complete the Google Form by following the link below, indicating which instrument they would like to learn. We will then book an allocated slot with the relevant peripatetic teacher.
In order to secure your place with a teacher we will require an email address and phone number so that they can contact you to discuss your requirements and associated costs.
Lessons will be invoiced by the peripatetic teacher directly. To illustrate, instrumental teachers typically charge £32 per hour of tuition, though some do charge less, this is then subdivided accordingly. In some cases, students learn in pairs for 30mins per week which would equate to £8 per student per lesson. Where players advance and possibly take graded music exams, there is the option for individual tuition. Instrumental teachers will advise of the various options and costs.
Please note that The Castle Rock School has a limited stock of instruments and resources that may be loaned to your child free of charge as they begin their musical journey.
We look forward to working with your child and encouraging their musical development.
Thank you for your continued support.
